As part of earning an adult scout badge, and as part of my own personal journey, I backpacked 16 - 18 miles with amazing company, with beautiful views, and the biggest lesson I learned, is to always make sure you have at least 2 extra socks before your trip. Oh, and I learned that I can do anything I put my mind too. I went in to the forest one version of me, and left with a whole new appreciation of, well, everything. Even the history behind how Lewis River Trail, became Lewis River Trail.
