I am not just a writer, I am a photographer and a strategist. And I finally figured out how to bring all the pieces of me, together.

But, What Does Finding Anchors Mean?
In this beautiful, chaotic world, I have spent too many days, nights, moments, months, seconds, losing myself to my dragons in the dark.
Finding Anchors in the Storm was born June 2011 and I haven’t looked back since.
This blog has been a place for me to share my truth, my raw moments, my pain, my wins, my victories.
This blog has been a place for me to battle my dragons with words, allowing me to think through whatever situation I am faced with.
And, this blog has been a place where I come to when I need answers.
Finding Anchors means finding what holds you steady when the beautifully chaotic world around us tries to rip us apart piece by piece.
Finding Anchors means finding what keeps you grounded, what keeps you going, what keeps you waking up to a new sunrise.
My mission in this life is to write my stories because my purpose is to help others not only understand that they are not alone in their darkest of days, but that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
A light that is waiting for us, as long as we hold tight to those anchors we found.
My purpose in this life, is to help people learn that it’s OK to put themselves first, that it’s OK to love themselves, that it’s OK to struggle.
But finding those anchors, will help ease the struggle.
Here are my anchors (in no particular order):
- Myself
- My kids
- My husband

- Photography
- Strategizing
- Organizing

- Curiosity
- Adventure

What are your anchors? Have you found yours? Are you still finding anchors?
